About Lori

Lori is the daughter of immigrants who came to the United States in the late 1960s. Her family settled in rural Iowa and she moved to Minnesota to attend St. Catherine University in St. Paul. Lori earned her Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.

As a nonprofit leader, Lori has spent her entire career empowering communities to learn, grow and succeed together. She is committed to building a safe and inclusive Blaine where everyone is treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.

Lori is committed to service and community. In addition to being a Blaine Charter Commissioner for 7 years, Lori served on the Minnesota Judicial Branch Committee for Equality and Justice, St. Paul Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity Commission, Minnesota Council of Nonprofits Board of Directors, and the Alumni Board of Mitchell Hamline School of Law.

She is the recipient of the Minnesota Bush Foundation Fellowship, a Congressional Tribute, the St. Catherine University Alumni Award, and the Minnesota Governor’s Distinguished Service Award.

Lori has a history of collaborating to achieve goals. She understands that to be an effective councilwoman, it is important to collaborate and build strong relationships with state and county officials. As a mother of three young children, Lori has hopes, dreams, and concerns related to our community. She is ready to listen and work together to create a stronger, more vibrant, Blaine.
